International Monetary Fund (IMF) estimates the global economic growth will be slowed 4.1 percent. This figure is down from the previous estimation of 4.9 percent. slowing among others, influenced by the turbulent financial and credit crisis jammed mortgage housing (sub-prime mortgage), which causes the loss of some of the bank board.

Economic growth on super power countries, such as the United States, also is expected to be slowed. Economy in the State uncle Sam is this will only grow 1.5 percent in 2008, down compared to 2.2 percent the previous year. In a note published in January, the IMF also estimates the European economy this year will grow only 1.3 percent, lower than the predicted 1.6 percent the previous year.
