Last week I found some problem on my blog those blog using Wordpress Engine, the problem is appear Error 404-not found page when I’m do posting my article. Those article contain 3 link to other website and also know with backlink, on previous post I use the some technique on those post and posting are success and no error.
I try to trace the problem when they come and finally I find the result, the issue this error 404 -not found begin appear on my blog when I try post the article since I upgrade the Wordpress 2.5 to become Wordpress 2.6. The problem is come from permalink setting on Wordpress 2.6 and bellow I will try to share you how to solve those problem.
Go to your cpanel on WP engine ex. http://your_domain.com/cpanel and entry your User name and password to login on your cpanel X than click file manager directory and make sure to select or mark show the hidden file then click –> Go, on .htaccess right click and change permission to be 777 and at least click change permission for save changing and logout.
Go to http://your_domain.com/wp-admin and entry your admin Username and password for login to WP dasboard, and go to settings then click tab permalinks for change the default permalink. Next on common settings click custom structure and entry this scripts
/%postname%-%post_id%.htm
Optional
Catagory Base : /catagories
Tag Base : /tags
and save change.
After I finished the setting permalink on the dashboard, then the error 404-not found is not appear anymore and seems my blog with Wordpress 2.6 engine work well.
